District Recognition Dinner

Join us at the Alameda Elks Lodge to recognize outstanding Scouters at both unit and district levels and our most recent Eagle Scouts. 

  • Join us on May 23, 2026
  • Alameda Elks Club,  2255 Santa Clara Ave, Alameda, CA 94501
  • Check in 5:30 p.m., Dinner at 6:00 pm.
  • $35 per person if paid by May 13, $40 afterwards through May 20.

This event is open to all new Eagle Scouts, Scouters, spouses, family members, and friends

Our District Recognition Dinner is currently working on the logistics and details for this event.

Nominations are now open.
Click the awards listed below to get the Google or Scouting America forms for the various awards.

Nominations will be accepted until April 15, 2026
Submission of other awards should be done by April 1, 2026
Submission of Veterans awards for 25 years of more should be done as soon as possible as these need to be submitted to the Scouting America National office for approval.

Nominated Awards for Scouter Service

District Award of Merit – The highest award presented by a council for Scouting volunteer service in a district, with one award for every 25 units or fraction thereof.  

District Plaque – An award presented for meritorious Scouting service in the district (including unit, district, and/or council service, with 5 to 10 awards presented in a given year.

District Certificate of Appreciation – A certificate presented for recent service in support of the district, with potentially 20 to 30 recipients.  An Individual could be honored in multiple years.

Unit Scouter of the Year – Each unit may nominate one Scouter for special certificate.  An individual could be honored in multiple years – ideally a new recipient by each unit each year.

Eagle Scout/Venturing Summit/Sea Scout Quartermaster Recognition

Special item presented by the district to each youth who earned this award in most recent year.

Scouting America Recognitions

Leadership Training Awards – Certificates and square knot emblems for completion of training and performance.  Reward your dedicated unit leaders with recognition that they can wear.
