Membership
- Franklin Elementary, Alameda is the new meeting location of Troop 89.
- Richard Christman is working to start up Pack 89 to meet at the same location.
- Pack 1015 has 124 youth members, 58 who started this year.
- Pack 97 has 20 youth members, 10 who started this year.
- Pack 612 has not yet become active, still waiting on youth applications to be turned in. Need assistance in reaching out to SLZUD school principles.

- Report that Pack 726 will be conducting their annual Pumpkin Derby this year.
Advancement
- Cub Scout rank advancement reporting seems to be minimally reported. Sea Scout and Venturing programs are either not emphasising rank advancement or are not reporting.
- Cub Scouts – From 6/1/2025 to current: 615 youth, 6 rank advancements
- Scouts BSA – From 6/1/2025 to current: 683 youth, 148 rank advancements (13 Eagles), 1546 merit badges.
- Sea Scouts – From 6/1/2025 to current: 32 Youth, 0 rank advancements.

Training
- Training Status
- 23.9% of Direct Contact Leaders are fully trained
- 47.1% of all Leaders are trained.
- It’s required for at least one adult to be BALOO trained for any Cub Scout overnight activity, including pack camping and Webelos den overnighters.
- Camp Herms Saturday 10-18-2025 7:30 AM to Sunday 10-19-2025 12:30 PM Registration now open
- Council has requested that all district make Introduction to Outdoor Leadership Skills (IOLS) training a priority
- Our district training lead, Tina Michael, is planning a April 4-5 session at Rancho Los Mochos, but this date is not firm.
- Our district is also working on a Fall IOLS. Classroom session on Sep 26th, and the Outdoor Session on October 9-11 at Rancho Los Mochos.
- Introduction Briones & Herms District will be doing a fall IOLS training.
- Camp Herms Saturday 10-18-2025 7:30 AM to Sunday 10-19-2025 12:30 PM
- Some troops, 722 in particular, have done the Scoutmaster Position Specific training as a unit, with the Unit Commissioner updating the member’s training records.
Camping
- Spring 2026 Camporee. The OA chapters are working on the program. Still need an Adult Camporee Chair, and Adult Volunteers for the Camporee Committee.
- National Jamboree contingent fee will be around $4100.
- There will be no tours involved this time
- Our contingent will need to purchase our own tents.
- The contingent will include Scouts and Scouters from Golden Gate, Golden Empire and Piedmont Councils.
- Camp Noyo may expand to two week-long sessions next year.
- Cost is expected to be $200 per participant, with a maximum of 135 participants each session
- Access to the camp is via a dirt logging road.
- This camp is privately owned land, but was once a Golden Empire owned camp.
- Overall the 2025 Summer Camp numbers were up, including out of council camping.
- Overall our camps were running about 60% of capacity, especially Royaneh and Wolfeboro.
- Webelos Woods on Treasure Island on the Oct 17-18th has had to push back the latest registration date to October 9th at the request of the Coast Guard, to allow time for security checks.
